What BIT is developing
The architecture is designed to constrain what a system may do as trust, localization, connectivity or authority changes and preserve a traceable sensor–decision–authority–action record.
BIT is not presented as a stand-alone drone, jammer or effector provider. Platform, safety and legal-authority functions remain separate responsibilities.

Why BIT is being developed
Autonomous systems can remain technically capable even when the evidence supporting an action has degraded. BIT Mission Assurance is being developed to connect verified identity, delegated mission authority, trusted operational context, bounded runtime responses and traceable evidence—so it can be determined what a system is still permitted to do before action is taken.
The architecture is in early development and must be validated through scoped integrations and tests for each platform, mission and operating environment.
